Artistic Journey Overview

My name is Jessi Gurrola, a working art educator and artist. As a Psychology student with an emphasis in Art Therapy at California State University, Northridge, I have an intense passion for creativity fostering and mentorship. I have focused my practice on coaching creative building skills and personal development fostering workshops in both Southern and Northern California. I have been pursuing art professionally for over three years, with experience in gallery spaces, art education, workshop hosting, administration and program facilitation. I am proficient in mediums such as painting, murals, photography, oil pastels, illustration, and story board/character development. Art has always been at the forefront of my passions and consumes my everyday life, often pulling from cultural nostalgia/imagery, as well as inner narratives with my work. I appreciate the vibrancy of life, leading me to enjoy realism, portraiture, surrealism, and commentary pieces.
